Hello faithful Patrons,

First and most importantly, I want to really thank everyone for sticking around and still supporting me even after my inactive posting for the last several months. It helped me to get through and remember that I’m not completely void of people’s support.

I went through a lot of things recently, but each one of them left me with newfound knowledge, experience, people, opportunities, self-introspection, and direction. I can feel the flame of my candle inside of my chest slowly increase the dimming light to be brighter than it ever was. So, for all the craps I went through, I’m still grateful.

Now, shall we take a sit down, have a tea, and investigate what we can expect for this year, at least, the original plan of what we can expect? Since you know, anything can happen. As one of my favorites saying that won over my heart as a nerdy little kid browsing on DeviantART.com:

“Expect the unexpected.” -Oscar Wilde

1.) Short Comics

I had a great informative conversation with Emmett Hobbes, he is a passionate cartoonist with bountiful of experience. (Check his work out!) He answered my questions with everything I needed to know as a person who really want to BLAB through the artistic and literature means. He provided me resources, told me about all options I have, and reframed on things I was anxious about. We both spoke about agent vs freelancing, and we concluded that I’d like to have a literary agent to help me find a publisher and some aspect of the marketing things so I can focus on the art, storywriting, creative, and development department of my long-term projects. So, in order to hook an agent, I need to have example of my short comic works for them to observe the technicalities aspect of my art, how I tell the story, my typical themes, the topic I tackled on, audience I tell to, the appeals, and the likes. What I have right now does not show what I’m capable of:

Obviously, just these two projects will not do it as they both are extremely outdated, and a lot of the context does not align with my today’s world framework, philosophy, attitude, and mindset. I’m working on short stories comics to add things to that portfolio so the agent can see and decide whether if they want me aboard to their world or not, they will help me find the connection to start pitching to the publisher that may be interested in my long-term projects, like “How Lovely!~” and “Race Against Tempium.” So yeah, I am excited about this! In meanwhile, we can expect the continued visual dev of either projects, there’s no way I’d stop drawing these fun characters! :P Oh and, there will be new tiers coming out.

2.) Daily Geks

An art collectible! Unique original pixel art of silly goofy geckos once per day, completely created by me, an independent artist. The purpose of this is for my entertainment and I just like geckos, really. I’m still debating on whether if I should just go over do NFTs, using Solana, an eco-friendly blockchain… or tap into Neonmob, a digital trading cards. I know I want to turn some Geks into physical item merchandise and have someone take care of that kind of department. Decisions… Decisions… Decisions… Anyway! I’ll figure the main platform out later! I already have the marketing roadmap all set up so it’s cooking up some big stuff. There will be new tiers coming out.

3.) Commission/Gigs

As I’ve mentioned earlier in this post, bad things happened, but it had me realizing great things about myself that I didn’t know. I’ve realized my abilities as a leading artist who writes out the blueprint and planning for the team of artists as well as troubleshooting, and I was informed that this is the kind of thing that I can get paid to do. (Awesome!) Yeah, check it out, I can do more than just drawing, surprise, surprise! If you ever want me to whoop your ass up to get better at art Gordon Ramsay style, I’ll be here! Joking aside, I’m not that mean! I’m nice. Please let me know if you’re anxious or want it rough, I will accommodate you, lmao.

Ps, if you’ve pledged me to $48 (School is for Fools) tier, you get access to step-to-step work, art tips, and tutorials on top of mentorship with me.

4.) Art Livestream

I’ve decided for this year, I want to do Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays night Twitch Livestream working on the projects!
It’s unclear how committed I am to this.

So now, 2022 shall begin, and may it go well from now and forth!

Thank you for your continued support, it really means a lot to me.

Yo! I rarely open art commission this year, but I need to make some money to get a Deaf bodybuilder to become my fitness coach, to help me feel more like a strong man. Oh, to save up for my dream long-term graphic novel project by the next year too!

Oh hey there.

5 min read

I just realized that nowadays that I come to DeviantART, drop art off, and then leave.

I figure I should let people on this website know how I'm doing.

I'm doing well. I've been pretty active on other social media platforms since I saw more responses from others. Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. While... Y'all are basically dead on DeviantART. I am unsure if that was of my fault for being inactive and not socializing much or this website's community is legit dying off. Either way, I'll keep posting my work anyway!

It has been a bit more than a year since I graduated from an art college in December 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Media Arts & Animation. I was the last group of students to graduate there before it got closed down for good, so, well, there goes the second school I've enrolled in and closed down. As expected, my luck is *totally* awesome and  I am *totally* not cursed. </scarasm>
This degree didn't really get me any job, and I suspect I don't have the necessary level of artistic/animation skill they're seeking out for and a lot also probably a lot to do with prejudice against my deafness, despite that I'm a natural expert communicator and visual artist that can incredibly benefit them. So, eventually, I said, "fuck it!" and became an independent freelancer since it's much more suitable for my niche, and besides, I've been using the internet since forever, baby! B-)  It worked.

Anyway, yes, I went through quite a lot. I was pretty depressed most of 2019 to the point where my hair grew super long, just like some depressed men grow his beard out. I've never had my hair this long since the middle school years. Now, it's 2020, and I finally chopped my hair off a day after my birthday, and a day before COVID-19 has shut down this state. (I played Plague Inc. a lot too, I'm a messed-up individual. But this is comforting.)
There were a lot of pictures in 2019, where I seemed to have this worn-out look in my eyes, a worn-out spirit, compared to a bright lively spirit I had before graduating. But now, I think I've changed now in 2020, despite the virus stuff going on, I'm starting to get my shit together and I am growing once again... But in a different and good way. Unlike the dead look I had before, I now have a pretty intense but friendly look. I was told that I am so much more confident after I've chopped my hair off. I know it is because I've come in the term of something specific with myself, and I'm not ready to talk about this. I want to give this more time to figure myself out and all that stuff. Hm, and other than that, I've finally started to exercise for once, and I got quite muscley. It's nice.

Oh, and about my work, I've been writing and doing a lot of revision work, I added so much more to my writing. I believe around next year to another year later, it will be ready for its graphic novel form! B^)
It's to do with certain trio some of you have been noticing a lot lately... <3

Cheers! I'm not dead, and I wanted to say hello! I'm here!
Peace out, until then, I'll be around.
I don't know what I'm saying anymore.

----

TL;DR- I'm doing so much better this year, hi, sorry for not socializing!

Since I was in college and I've been really too much to sit down and catch up with whatever is in my deviantART inbox, I want to make sure I haven't missed out anything significant lately with those closed species. Like, do I need to update the mastery? Is there anything important that I need to know as an owner? Did they die down? Etcs.

I'll tag all creators and include thumbnail of my characters + my arts, in just a case! I will be personally sending them note, since I know most of them has their notification off. Do you think I should note their group staffs too or would that be too much?
